This is my back rack. His name is Bert. Bert works hard and doesn’t make a fuss. Bert is a Chromoly Pannier Rack from Tumbleweed Cycles. Bert gets 11 stars.
I was able to delay buying a back rack for most of the summer because I could strap my tent to the back of my seat, and then the front rack/pannier combination could hold everything for a camping overnight.
Eventually I did need the extra space, so, for more clothing, water, and a camp chair.
My favorite features are that this rack has built in three-bolt cage arrangement down each side, so if you are not running panniers you can strap a mess of other stuff on there.
And if I do elect to move the RockGeist panniers to the back, for more ground clearance on trails, they should work great.
